Well, here's a final update. I flew into JFK yesterday and I am officially home for good for medical reasons. I will officially be starting classes in the end of March at Westy but I might be auditing a math class so I don't fall too behind. And yes, I am still planning on graduating on time.

It was really hard to say goodbye to everyone in Spain. The people are what make the program special. Especially my host family.

But I'm back with my family to deal with these eye and health issues and I'm going to take each day as it comes. It is hard to be back because I miss everyone but it was hard when I was there because I missed home so I think for now I'll just go where the river takes me.

Pilates

Took a 3 1/2 hour pilates class today! I thought I was going to be dead by the end of it but it was really satisfying and actually kind of easy! It was really relaxing and I didn't feel the work out until after I walked around Zaz for about two hours afterwards. I feel it now. And it feel GREAT! I feel like I am ready to take on the world! After my nap :)
Over 5000 views! Thank you!!!

I found a lucky penny/ 1 cent coin on the street today on my way home. Good luck perhaps? We shall see..
I am officially a Spain resident! I got my card today! I will try to post a pic on facebook soon but I make no promises.

so next week the school is doing a five  day exchange all over spain. we got our locations yesterday and i am going to almería! i was contacted by one of my two host sisters today and she is sooooooo nice and awesome! i cant wait to meet her! i just really hope i can go with all of this eye stuff pending.

oh Spain probs.

so somehow I totally forgot to blog about what happened with me and the buses last week!
I was running late to school and had just enough time. I was watching the sign to see how long it would be before the next bus I needed to take and two buses were arriving at the same time. I decided to not look at the bus sign before getting on because I thought it was my bus (the 33) but I was very wrong. It was the 39 which doesn't go anywhere near school. so after it took an unfamiliar corner, I was scared. I asked the driver to get off but he said I had to wait for the stop but it was close, and pointed to the stop to the left. after a 3 minute stop light, we finally made it to the stop and I got off and literally sprinted for my life to get back to another bus stop that would get me the right bus and take me to school. at this point, I'm not going to be on time because there was construction the week before creating a detour and doubling the route to school. after sprinting to the stop, a 34 arrived and I was so relieved that I wouldn't waste more time waiting for a bus at the stop. I got on, and of course one of my classmates was there. and he's a runner so of course I must have looked like a flailing idiot to him while running with my boots and backpack to make the bus. a little while later, I was getting ready to get off and walk instead of spending more time on the detour but my friend informed me that the road was open and there wasn't roadwork anymore. thank goodness for that. luckily, I made it to school with time to spare! but it was one heck of a morning.

so i went in to get my mri, and there was the staff, all in a group in the office, everybody with a little white plastic cup filled with champagne. in the hospital. during their shifts! only in spain.

Eyes

so let me start off by saying that this year has honestly probably been a year from hell. junior year was pretty bad but with the transitions, the horrid college process and doing it abroad, family stuff, the list goes on.
last week was horrible. on too of everything I have already posted I found out some medical news that kind of changed things.
nothing to worry about first of all. i won't know specific details until my MRI on Thursday but this is a blog about my year abroad and this is currently happening while I'm abroad so I believe it fits into the theme of this blog.
I found out I have two pseudo tumors behind my eyes around the nerves, and they believe it's from stress. instead of having my face break out I grew bacteria behind my eyes. woo. Thursday I go for an MRI to see that hopefully there isn't anything behind those pseudo tumors like a larger tumor pressing on my brain which they don't think there is but it's good to rule it out anyways. I'll keep you informed when I know more of what's going on.
SORRY THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO POST BEFORE THE ONE I JUST POSTED BUT APPARENTLY IT DID.
I love spending my Monday's in the emergency room in a foreign country, don't you?
MRI was normal. No real tumors or cancer or anything like that that they didn't find.
Now we move onto the next step with a neurologist I think. No idea how to explain it. Oh well.

Well, I had my Syracuse stage management interview yesterday. And after 30 min of technical difficulties, it finally worked and went pretty well!
Tonight, I was supposed to have my NYU artistic review. So I cancelled my trip to Madrid and all of my Friday night plans so I could be home to do this interview. And I just got an email saying they had a water main break in their building so they have to evacuate, therefore canceling this interview.
Just my luck.
